How folks find podcasts, & why they listen! ThePodcastHost Weekly Digest

Hullo there!

The long-awaited report of our 2024 Podcast Discovery Survey is out now. We've teased some of the data in recent weeks, but now you can binge it in its entirety. Here are just some of the things you'll learn:

  • How listeners are most (or least) likely to find your show
  • What tempts them to hit play once they discover it
  • What episode lengths they prefer
  • How long they'll give you to hook them
  • And if they'll switch off because you run ads or sponsorships

There's some very encouraging data here for podcasters, so set aside some time later to peruse the report with a beverage of your choosing πŸ˜„

As always, there's more great new content below, too (as well as some podcast-related Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals that caught our eye). Enjoy!

PS. final call for a huge podcast hosting Cyber Monday deal with Captivate - sign up or transfer your podcast to them, and don't pay for hosting until March next year!
