• The Audio Drama subreddit published its State of the Subreddit: r/audiodrama in 2024, which has some very interesting conversations about AI and audio drama podcasting.
• ​Dancers on the Shore is crowdfunding for a series about "the lives of Black folk from the early 1880s through the late 1980s and across multiple generations, each story is a vignette in the lives of the people of Harlem and The Bronx."
• ​Podnews reports that Spotify has launched their new partner Program, promising 50% of revenue for ads sold, provided the podcast hits eligibility targets: 30 day targets of 10,000 streamed hours on Spotify, and 2,000 unique Spotify users. The editor speculates that some podcasters may remove their shows from directories outside of Spotify to boost user numbers. #dontbelievethehype
